I haven't experienced any major problems except every once in awhile the permalinks on my WP blogs will stop working and I'll have to reset them. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. Still, they should have at least kept in communication with you about this issue. Especially if it was as pressing as they made it sound. This is the reason why I left my last host. The service kept going down and they really were not communication as to why or what was being done to fix it. It's worth trying. When I look at my site stats the feeds for all my sites are fairly high on the list so I guess it can't hurt to try the plugin. I've activated it for this site to begin with.
