I keep very little, I mean VERY little on any pc. the closest i come is keeping some applications on a thumbdrive. everything else i store online, pics, docs, etc...that way they are doing the backing up for me. may not be bullet proof but I haven't lost anything in over three years! In over 15 years of owning a p.c I've never had a HD crash or a major virus. I couldn't imagine what I'd do if this ever did happen!!?! I've manged to recover a lot of useless junk and almost nothing of value when I had to go through the recovery ordeal a few years back when my HDD died on me :) As for the recovery services- you can call me paranoid but there is far to much personal information and documents on my computer to entrust it in the hands of an unknown professional. I'm speaking generally though- never tried the DTI DATA services and software and quite honestly I hope I'd never have the occasion to :) The problem with data recovery software is I’ve found it unreliable at best.
