Yet another site that I use regularly for blog promotion is Blogsoldiers. This site was recently sold to a new owner and I really like what the new owners being doing to promote Blogsoldiers and get more members.
There are regular surfing contests where the top ten surfers win 500 to 100 credits each. Plus the new owner has instigated a bonus system that kicks in as you are surfing sites. I don’t know how many sites you have to surf before the bonus’ credit questions come up but If you are surfing (viewing) sites for an hour you’re bound to get bonus points at least once, if not twice.
The owner of Blogsoldiers send out newsletters every so often announcing new contests and just keeping in touch with the site members. Very few of the other traffic exchanges do this on a regular basis with the exception of Blogazoo.
Another site that I have used to promote my blogs and websites is Blogmosh. You can add your websites or blogs to this traffic exchange and promote your site through a variety of networks on their systems.
I haven’t experimented with this site enough to tell you all the ins and outs of using Blogmosh but I thought I’d tell you about the site.
Blogmad has been promoting a new feature that will allow people to build networks of blogs all linked together. It’s called Exlinks. Blogmad isn’t telling us too much about Exlinks yet, except that members will be able to build a network of blogs that will all be linked together. This is a form of site promotion, and maybe help members build their site PR.
The Exlinks blog says:
Some people are after traffic, some want readers and others are chasing backlinks to boost their rankings on search engines.
No matter what your need or want is, eXlinks is going to sort that out for you.
It’s the site that’s going to burst traffic to your site.
So sign up now before everyone gets in on the game.
UPDATE: January, 26th, Exlinks has not officially begun yet but it’s set to begin soon. Sign up now.

One of the sites that I use to promote my blogs is called Blogazoo. It’s a blog traffic exchange where you surf (visit blogs through their system) blogs and earn credits as you surf. Each credit you own allows your blogs to be viewed by another surfer. Actually, they give out .5 credits per surf, so you need to visit two blogs to have your site viewed once.
Blog exchanges are not only a good way to promote your site, but they are a good way to find other blogs that interest you. Leave comments on blogs that you enjoy and in most cases the site owners will come to visit your site as well. You could gain a few new readers each week in this manner.
The owners of Blogazoo keep in touch with their members regularly via newsletters which I find to be a nice touch. There is also a user forum where you can discuss the Blogazoo site, as well as anything blog or internet that comes to mind.

Going on with my series on blog traffic engines I’d like to discuss BlogAdvance. I’ve seen this site go through a few changes since I joined. When I first signed on they only gave 0.5 credits per blog view when you were surfing, but now they have upped it to 1 credit per blog viewed so the ratio is 1:1. You visit one site, one person visits yours.
I’m not sure how many members Blog Advance has right now, but I wish I got a few more blog views per day. Perhaps if I can entice you to join their service and actually surf blogs regularly we’ll all have our blogs viewed more often over there. I find that my Blog advance visitors stop and leave comments a little more often than my Blogexplosion visitors do. BlogAdvance also has a forum for members to talk and discuss just about anything to do with blogging.
One thing that I like about Blog Advance is that they occasionally have surfing contests and they give out cash awards to the top surfer. I haven’t won anything yet but I’ve come close!
